MY INTEREST in the annual Good Friday pilgrimage to Immaculata began in 1970 when I photographed the event for Cincinnati magazine.
The dedication and pageantry of the hundreds of people who climb the steps, year after year, has drawn me back on several occasions.
Having the opportunity to publish a book on the 150th anniversary of the Good Friday Pilgrimage, inspired me to return in 2009 and observe once again, and possibly inspire others who will observe, through this book, this holy tradition.
